Biomimicry is a really inspiring idea for architectural design. An idea that I am a big fan of is creating a temporary shelter similar to a tent. The whole idea would be to make this shelter similar to the human skin and bone structure. By making a structure out of steel or carbon fiber that resembles the human bone structure and also overlaying it with a tight heat retaining cloth or leather cover to act as the human skin, this would likely be portable and fold up in a similar way to a tent. As for cost, it may be expensive. There is a design similar to this in Germany which was built during the 1970's for the Olympic games. It used a steel structure with hard plastic covers to act as a rain shelter over the stands.
Hidden within nature are the secrets which have otherwise taken relentless pursuit to discover. This is merely the tip here folks.
